Overview

American Chef commercial equipment is built for demanding North American kitchens. Our warranty program is designed to protect your investment and keep your kitchen running smoothly.

2-Year Parts & Labor Warranty

All qualifying American Chef commercial refrigeration units include a Two (2) Year Parts and Labor Warranty.

  • Covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use.
  • Includes mechanical and electrical components.
  • Labor is covered during normal working hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).

Warranty period:
2 years from the date of purchase, or 28 months from shipment, whichever occurs first.

Additional 3-Year Compressor Part Warranty

American Chef provides an extra Three (3) Year Compressor Part Warranty, giving you a total of five (5) years of compressor coverage.

This extended compressor warranty covers the compressor part only and excludes:

  • Freight or shipping charges.
  • Labor or service call costs.
  • Electrical controls.
  • Additional parts required for compressor replacement.

Units must be installed in a level and stationary location. Mobile setups are excluded.

Warranty Exclusions

Not covered by this warranty:

  • Normal wear items (bulbs, gaskets, fuses, handles).
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or lack of maintenance.
  • Incorrect installation or improper voltage.
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications.
  • After-hours or overtime service labor.
  • Product spoilage or lost revenue.

Mobile Kitchen Exclusion

Products installed in food trucks or concession trailers are not covered.

Geographic Coverage & Remote Locations

Coverage Area

Valid only in Canada and the United States.

Remote Service Policy

Travel time is covered up to 50 km from the nearest authorized service provider. Additional distance may require extra charges.

Freight Damage Procedure

  1. Inspect shipment immediately upon delivery.
  2. Mark the freight bill “DAMAGED” if applicable.
  3. Notify the carrier within 48 hours.
  4. File a freight claim and schedule an inspection.
  5. Record condition on the freight bill.
  6. Obtain the carrier’s inspection report.
  7. Keep all packaging and damaged merchandise.

Limitation of Liability

American Chef is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as product spoilage, business interruption, or loss of revenue.

The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of defective parts, as determined by American Chef.

Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
